Holiday "Cheer"

The truth is, a lot of money is spent around the holiday seasons. Promotion and media for items and event across the globe. One thing that is so surprising is that the release of movies always spikes during these few months of family time.  Advertisers make it seem as if movies are the perfect place to take your family while they are visiting for the holidays.

As nice as it seems to watch the latest releases on the big screen while many people have time off of work, it just seems like the wrong time to see a movie. Maybe if Public Relations and the Media spent more time on family oriented things, such as volunteering to local hospitals, food pantries, or shelters rather than spending $100 for the entire family to sit down for 2 hours. There are plenty of opportunities to help the less fortunate during this time of year.

Things in this local area are the Charleston Food Pantry, Retired Senior Citizen homes, Sarah Bush Lincoln, and/ or the Coles County Animal Shelter.

Go out into the world and participate in activities that better the community!
